Modest Fashion: A Cowl for Coziness

A cowl is the ultimate in cozy accessories. Yet, despite the coziness factor, a cowl can dress up a simple outfit and give it some interest and texture.

This outfit features my favorite soft, cozy cowl in the sweetest shade of pink. It goes so well with my grey knit maxi skirt and long sleeved grey tee. I can’t even describe how perfectly comfortable this outfit is!

I love this long sleeved tee from Ann Taylor. I found it on ThredUp a couple of years ago. The tone of this grey is a perfect neutral that goes with just about everything in my closet.

The skirt came from Old Navy ages ago. I’ve worn this thing to death, yet it still looks great.

I often wear an outfit like this on a day when I’m going to be home all day. Much classier than yoga pants and a hoodie, but no less comfortable.

It really doesn’t take that much effort to dress a bit nicer. It’s worth trying to look presentable in any circumstance, whether it’s running errands, chauffeuring children, or hanging out with friends. Even if you’re home all day with your kids, putting a little thought into your appearance can do wonders to your attitude. It also shows the people around you respect. This outfit isn’t fancy, but it looks nice and makes me feel put together.
