Whether it’s presently a trend or not, dark denim always looks classy. A simple dark denim pencil skirt is a wardrobe staple that can be worn with many looks, from casual to dressy. It’s so easy to dress dark denim up or down.

This week’s modest outfit features a simple dark denim skirt worn with a soft mint green tunic style top. I love wearing pastels, and mint green is one of my favorites. The contrast of the light green with the dark blue of the skirt is quite pleasing to the eye.

Because the blouse is a bit sheer, I wore a navy blue tank underneath. I think it lends a nice element of interest and ties in well with the skirt.

I paired this outfit with my standby navy ballet flats. These shoes get worn a ton! Ballet flats are so versatile and go with such huge variety of looks, from dressy to casual.

My earrings and ring both came from my new favorite jewelry brand, Chloe & Isabel. (No, I am not a stylist for Chloe & Isabel jewelry, nor are they sponsoring this post—I really do absolutely love the jewelry itself!)

Just by changing the top and jewelry, this outfit can go from day to evening and everything in between.
